Saturn Lane - "Want You Bad" Song Review

As I began to listen to this song, the first aspect that captured the attention of my ears was how the music begins with the siren type of sound and the rhythm of a heartbeat. From that point on, I could feel the emotional connection. As the vocals came in only seconds after the music dropped, “Body Next To Body” paints a vivid picture of the electrifying intensity that will cause you to do anything to have the person in your life that has that magnetic force to pull you in. "Want You Bad" is not your everyday pop love song that you hear on the radio. I picture this song playing in a scene where the couple is standing on opposites sides of the dance floor and as soon as they make eye contact, everyone disappears, and its just them. No matter how much they may try to stay apart they are drawn together by an unexplainable force.

The way the music builds up, it takes you from the point where you first stand up, to where your body is just getting into the groove, to the point where you can’t hold back anymore. The lyrics of this song will resonate with a lot of people who have experienced losing that love and wanting that feeling back or having a love for the first time and not wanting to let go of that feeling. The melody is awesome and I was singing the song instantly. Mind you I am not a good singer, but I try. The hook is catching and the changes in the song bring a dynamic of how one minute you feel upbeat and ready to do whatever it takes, then it brings you back down to where you pondering as to the hold that this person has on you.

The construction of this song is insane; the first verse and beat slowly grabs your attention with subtle seduction, then the hook comes in and it grabs you fiercely without hesitation. After the first hook, the beat changes and gives you a different vibe of strong confidence knowing that she has won you. After that second hook blows you away, the bridge just mesmerizes you like your hypnotized and there is nothing that will or can divert your attention. The hook comes back in to just seal the deal to take the song out as the ending maintains that electrifying intensity that started in the beginning. I am glad that I got to chance to listen to this song. I would recommend adding this to your playlist.
