Candy. Soda. Cake. Those all may be categorized as bad for you, but La Veer’s recently released track “Bad For You,” is definitely good for your playlist. The live instrumentals and La Veer’s soothing voice will make you want anything that’s bad for you. At a first listen you may get vibes of Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith, but La Veer has managed to bring his own vintage, organic feel to the pop genre. The visual for “Bad for You” brought a whole vibe to the screen dragging you into the most essential “sad summer song” out. You can catch La Veer, his chucks, and his guitar on Instagram and all streaming platforms!
Acoustic guitars and clapping draw you in, but it's the addition of the drums that really bring light to a cloudy shadow that lies in La Veer's love song. With his leather coat and aviator shades, it was as if John Travolta and John Mayer jumped in the studio and popped out La Veer.
The New York native based in Nashville literally came from and traveled to two nation's hot spots for music and it shows. The arrangement of this entire song was a vibe for the warmest summer day. A cool bass, banging drums, and some hanging lights are all you need on a Saturday night and this song embodies every bit of that.
