Netflix has become our friend in times of quarantine and social distancing, it helps us stay at home and spend time with our friends, family, or ourselves. However, its content doesn’t have to be the only way of entertainment when we are bored. Movies, documentaries, and shows can also be a source of knowledge and cultural growth.
With stories and visual content, its music began to come up as a much larger and important contributor when talking about narratives and audiovisual content. This is the reason why I decided to list 3 of best Netflix soundtracks you want to listen to this week.
Husavik
If you haven’t watched Eurovision Song Contest on Netflix, I invite you to get some popcorn and get ready to have a good and funny time with Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. The film is about a pop, Icelandic duo created by Lars Erickssong (Will Ferrel) and Sigrit Ericksdottir (Rachel McAdams), whose dream is to participate and win the song contest called Eurovision (there is also a real-world Eurovision song contest that is also fun to watch).
The songs in this film give you a complete overview of harmonies, colors, melodies, and feelings that take you back to a place where you want to start singing the hooks of the song. They're catchy, dreamy, and are magical songs that you want to add to your favorite playlist this weekend.
Warrior Nun
Billie Eilish keeps surprising us! This time it's with her song “Bury a Friend". Have you ever seen a nun who is also a warrior? If you want to watch action, supernatural things, and have fun at the same time, go watch the show Warrior Nun on Netflix because it's really good. If you want to have fun while listening to amazing music, this is your show!
Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé
The queen keeps showing us why she is on the top! Beyoncé isn’t wasting any time creating and pushing songs from her album 4. If you want to have an insight of the industry, and the life of an artist, you are going to love this movie.
Compared to an overload song like “Countdown”, “Love On Top” is simple, catchy, melodic, harmonious, and straightforward. However, it's a song that will make you dance and sing every time you play it in the car.
