On Wednesday, January 20th, Joe Biden was elected the 59th President of the United States and Kamala Harries was officially the Vice-President. Several performances was performed to celebrate the inaugural ceremony.
On Wednesday, January 20th, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President, Kamala Harris were sworn on the West front of the U.S. Capitol building. During the inaugural ceremony, Lady Gaga performed the national anthem; Garth Brooks sang "Amazing Grace," and Jennifer Lopez sang a mashup of "This Land is My Land."
The festivities continued on Wednesday night with Tom Hanks hosting "Celebrating America," featuring musical guests including Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard. A massive live fireworks display song of unity from Tim McGraw, with Katy Perry wearing all white who performed, "Firework."
John Legend rocked a piano performance from the Lincoln Memorial with the classic tune "Feeling Good."
Justin Timberlake returned to his roots, where he sang, "Better Days." Even at one point during the show, latin trap singer Ozuna gave a performance of "Taki Taki" with DJ Cassidy. The song quickly transitioned into the famous hit "Despacito," where Luis Fonsi pooped in to sing while sporting a single AirPod in his ear.
Demi Lovato rocked a new look with her performance of Bill Withers' 1977 R&B classic "Lovely Day." She was not alone, as she was joined by the frontline healthcare workers, who played instruments and sang backup.
We also saw the appearance of Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard who gave a duet with their new single, "Undivided."
