The world scout music expo is not only a place for artists and producers, but a place for anyone who wants to learn about the ways business, and media work. These are the top five reasons that the World Scout Music Expo is the place you want to be…
1. Education
The World Scout Music Expo is an opportunity for anyone to learn about how the music industry works. The panels that are held by the event are open to anyone attending and include artists and producers as panelists. For any artist who is new, upcoming, or even professionally in the industry, these panels can help give real life tips on how to be seen and how to be heard. This information from the professionals in the music industry can even be taken into any job, business, or industry outside of music and producing. So whether you are an artist, producer, or just someone looking for tips on how to be successful in your career, the World Scout Music Expo is the place to be.
2. Experience
Not only do you learn how to grow your image and make a successful career, but you also get real-world experience with opportunities to perform in front of a large crowd including the professionals. This is truly a great big step for any new or upcoming artist trying to make it into the industry. This experience can help get your name out into the industry and can even help jumpstart your career by having the chance of being chosen by multiple major record labels including Capitol Records, Epic, Atlantic, and many more which leads to the next reason.
3. Advancement
The experience and education you gain from going to an event like the World Scout Music Expo are tools that anyone can use to advance their career. There are multiple labels, artists, producers, media teams, and independent businessmen and women that are all at the event that are willing to help others in their career. With an opportunity like World Scout Music Expo everyone who attends, leaves with more knowledge that propels them into a new mindset to work hard and create.
4. Networking
Out of all of these reasons, networking is one of the most important reasons to attend this event. This event gives anyone, literally anyone at the event, the opportunity to talk to professionals in the music industry. There are multiple moments during the three day event where attendees can talk to anyone including the major music producers and artists managers. To name a few of these producers and artists managers at the event including Mike Zombie, Scott Storch, Steve Lobel, Kate Loesch, and Adam Small. You can also get introduced to many local artists, producers, and managers which can help build a bigger image of you in your city.
5. Inspiration
Last but not least is the amount of inspiration that this event sparks inside of many of the attendees. Hearing where the producers and artists started from versus where they are now in their careers is the most inspiring thing to hear for anyone who is trying to make it big in the music industry. One of the most common things said by the panelists was “Never give up” and “Work hard” after being asked questions involving how to stay in the industry. During this event you get all the information you need to restart or create your own career and your own image as an artist. The inspiration from this event is something that I wish every person in the music industry could feel!
Everything we were able to take part in, the interviews, the social media coverage, the artist panels would not have happened without Nequa. Shaequa Bernard, a former 3300+ coordinator, got us in touch with Rap Plug and World Scout, and if it wasn't for her, this would not have happened. Thank you so much for everything you continue to do for 3300+Climbing Nequa!
