The MTV'S 2020 VMAS Will be More Than Exciting this Year With New Changes

The Big Apple is getting ready for its first event since the beginning of the COVID- 19. August 30 will be the day the entertainment industry pays tribute to all of the incredible videos of 2020. As artists write there winning speeches for categories such as best video, best pop song, best music video from home, and best quarantine performance.

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards will be outdoors this year. It will be taking place in front of a limited audience or no audience at all. There will be multiple stages throughout New York that will be holding the performances throughout the show.


Rain on Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande has nine nominations including video of the year. The Weekend and Billie Eilish have nominations in multiple categories. Video of the year might be a shocker to some. With shows being put on a halt, award shows are more important than ever. Jack Harlow, Roddy Ricch, and YungBlud are some of the new artists that have gained a lot of attention with their music and visuals to earn them a spot in the best new artist category. K- Pop sensation BTS and Lady Gaga are planning to make a dynamic performance for the show as well. Sunday is the night for VMA's the bar is set high and talents are more than capable of delivering a captivating show.
