Legendary American Rapper, Post Malone is celebrating 25 years of Pokémon with a full virtual concert. The Beerbongs and Bentleys star kicked off this amazing celebration with a surreal virtual concert to celebrate Pokémon. With popular hit songs and surprising rendition, the event was one of the best ways to start this 25th anniversary.
Post Malone started the Universal Music and Pokémon collaborative event, P24 Music on Saturday, February 27th. The concert was held on Pokémon day, when the franchise's first video games, Pokémon Red and Green, launched way back in 1996. The series continued with countless spinoffs from popular TV shows, movies, and also toys.
In celebration of Pokémon, the whole concert had a visual aesthetic from the various worlds the franchise has. The concert didn't last long, but it was a great way to see the association between Post Malone and Pokémon for this awesome event. The virtual concert started with Post Malone love rendition of "Psycho" from his Beerbongs and Bentleys album. The concert took place in a virtual stadium, with fans and Pokémon all around it. We could see Post Malone avatar flying around the different realms of the franchise. The other songs that were featured included "Circles" and "Congratulations." The biggest surprise of the concert came with his rendition of Hootie and the Blowfish song, "Only Wanna Be With You."
