O.B. Productions

Not all artists use microphones. Obi Buiro (or O.B Productions) is known for making lyrical beats using his electronic keyboard and drum pad on the streets of London.

O.B.'s instrumental pieces vary from hip-hop to acoustic and everything in between. Obi is consistently updating his fans on his Instagram page @obi_buiro and tends to make a habit of always responding kindly to his fans’ words of appreciation – something we admire about those we highlight during our #WhoDatWednesday series or Artist Spotlights.

Buiro follows up his beats with thought-provoking visuals. In his piece “Stereotype” he pulls inspiration from 90’s underground hip-hop as a way to bring attention to the stereotypes that many of us face upon first glance. Behind the music is a portrait of graffiti on a brick wall showcasing a man in a gas mask with flashes of green and black surrounding him – we’ll leave this for you to decipher for yourself.

You can watch Obi's amazing videos and get stuck into the trance to his soulful beats on his
