Mothers in Music - Happy Mother's Day!

Being a mother is an adventure in life that is a blessing all its own. It requires a whole new form of strength and courage from the moment it begins.

3300+ Climbing wanted to take the time to honor some of the mothers who are raising little legacies alongside maintaining a legendary career. On its own, being a mother can definitely get hard and I can only imagine the hard-work these mothers in music have had to put in to take care of their baby cubs while working in a sleepless industry.

“Motherhood is the biggest gamble in the world. It is the glorious life force. It’s huge and scary – it’s an act of infinite optimism.”

-Gilda Radner

In April her beautiful family revealed in an Instagram video that she will now be a mother of 3. Ciara is now pregnant with a baby boy! Ciara can be seen with her kids doing all kinds of things from adorable Tik-Tok videos showing that her dance skills have definitely been passed down to her kids, to family slumber parties. Ciara has created a legendary name for herself in the industry as well as raised and continued to grow a beautiful family.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey's voice alone has become a staple in the industry. She has created well-known hits from "We Belong Together" and "Touch My Body" to remaking and popularizing the notable Christmas tune "All I Want For Christmas." Sylvia Rhone

Sylvia Rhone has earned herself the title of the most influential female executive in the music industry. She was named CEO of Epic Records in April of 2019, and that is just the beginning of the numerous footprints she has left in the music industry. Miss Rhone is not only an iconic trailblazer but a mother as well to a daughter named Quinn Rhone! Sylvia has more than conquered the music industry all while being a mother. In 1988, she became the only African-American female Senior Vice President in the industry at Atlantic Records. For decades Sylvia Rhone has continued to challenge the industry and open doors for countless artists.

Lauryn Hill

Ms. Lauryn Hill is one of the most notable R&B and Soul artists, creating classics from "Doo Woop" to her entire The Miss Education of Lauryn Hill album. The life of a mother is everything except easy, but the beauty of another kind. These women in music have made working in a challenging and tiring, yet rewarding industry while making being a mother look effortless. Let us not forget that mothers do everything they can for their children and hold the key to love and life lessons. This Mother's Day make sure you take the time to even just thank your mother, grandmother, or any mothers you have in your life.

Let's take the time today to greatly appreciate our mothers today if you are a mom reading this, thank you soo much for all of the hard yet rewarding work you have done and enjoy your day! #3300CLIMBING
