Kids' Choice Awards 2021

The 34th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on March 13, 2021 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California with Kenan Thompson as the host.

This annual show first aired in 1988 and holds the records for the longest-running televised children's award show. It brings young viewers through a fun and interactive virtual journey in the Orange Blimp, to celebrate fan-favorite musicians, actors and athletes. Kenan Thompson, the host of the show, introduced and interacted with presenters and viewers throughout the show.



Current record holders are featured throughout the ceremony as presenters, winners, and performers... and from time to time would received a helping of slime.

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2021 earned a record with the most people slimed simultaneously online with 195 participants.


Marsai Martin, the youngest Hollywood executive producer, was in the slime studio to present an award category. Joining her was, Jojo Siwa, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Anthony Anderson, and others showed up during the ceremony.

Justin Bieber performed his popular single, "Anyone" and "Hold On". He walked away with two Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite male artist and Favorite music collaboration with Ariana Grande.



K-pop superstars BTS has won victories in all three categories they were nominated in, Favorite Music Group, Favorite Global Music Star, and Favorite Song ("Dynamite"). BTS received their award virtually, and they wanted to thank the army for their love and support, saying:

"We love you, and we miss you... you guys are the best."

Actress Jennifer Garner introduced the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris. The country's first female VP delivered special remarks as part of the show's Generation Change presentation, which recognized kids' strength and courage to create a better world for future generations. Generation Change is Viacom CBS’ pro-social initiative that connects leaders and innovators with young voices to inspire positive change in communities through civic engagement.

Throughout the show, we saw celebrity appearances from Gal Gadot, Millie Bobby Brown, BTS, Sofia Vergara, Terry Crews, Noah Schnapp, Joshua Bassett, and more. Also, Nickelodeon stars, Jojo Siwa, Jules Leblanc and Jayden Bartels from Side Hustle, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green and Darci Lynne from Unfiltered and Young Dylan from the Tyler Perry's Young Dylan added even more excitement to the event.
