Written by: Guilherme Canineo

Post Malone’s third album will come out tomorrow! Yup, there are no typos! TOMORROW!

While music fans are still digesting the highly anticipated release of Taylor Swift’s Lover, it seemed like yesterday that Post Malone announced during his Frontier Nights’ performance on July 25 that his new album was completed. On August 6th, in an interview for The Tonight Show, he confirmed that his junior album would be released in September and played a snipped of his now-newly released single “Circles.

“It’s exciting!” Malone said. “It’s a long process that goes into [it]. But, finally towards the end we kind of rallied and just made it work which is exciting for me.”

On August 26th, he posted back-to-back tweets announcing the name and official release date. Four days later, he took to Instagram and revealed Hollywood Bleeding’s list of collaborators which includes household names such as Meek Mill, Halsey, Travis Scott, Future and Ozzy Osbourne. The 17-track star-packed album will include his chart-topping and 3x platinum-certified (RIAA) collaboration with Swae Lee, “Sunflower,”as well as his singles “Wow” and “Goodbyes” ft. Young Thug.

When asked by Jimmy Fallon about the writing and the track selection process he answered, “Usually I just go in, have a normal amount of Bud Light, and go into the booth and just kind of sing over beats and wait until a find a good melody. [And] then, sit down and write it. Then, shift through and see which ones are smooch hits.”

Post Malone rose to prominence in 2015 after his first single, “White Iverson,” gained massive momentum and reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both of his previous albums (Stoney and Beerbongs & Bentleys) are 3x platinum-certified (RIAA) and have sold more than 200,000 copies (pure sales) in the United States.

His new single “Circles” produced by him alongside Frank Dukes and Louis Bell, was released on August 30th and the music video for the song, directed by Colin Tiley, was debuted this past Tuesday, September 3rd.
