From Davenport, Florida, 3weeksin built a following of over 90K making followers laugh; however, he has made a shift to music, and wants to be known as an artist from now on! His journey began back in May, and to be at it for only about 4 months, his talent seemingly comes naturally. His debut track "Big Dreams" was the perfect introduction for the moves 3weeksin is planning on making with his music. 3300+Climbing had the opportunity of catching up with him to talk about his journey and upcoming music!
What sparked your switch from comedic entertainment to music?
Okay. So, all my life, my family, it was very into music. My family's involved with the church, so I, basically, grew up with music. I just was scared to do it but I was doing the skits for a while and that's what kind of gained me momentum on my social media. After a while, the skits started to get old. I started to grow out of it and I started not liking them anymore. So, I stopped that slowly and just kinda tried music. I went to a studio with a couple of friends in LA and I just got in the studio and really just fell in love with it just from there, and it just kinda went off. [chuckle]
You have a unique style, how did you come into your style and who are some of the artists that you are inspired by?
So, yeah, my style is very melodic. My favorite artist of all time is Travis Scott. It's like, I love Travis Scott. That's like my number one artist, man. Like every time he comes to Florida, I'm there. So, front row, in the pits, so I like to try to get his melodic feels, his melodic touch. It's my music, just try to make it my own way because, of course, I don't want to sound the same but, yeah.
What is the message that you are trying to communicate to listeners with your brand?
So, my name, artist name is 3WeeksIn and basically, 3WeeksIn means, it's like a movement. It just encourages people just to start their dreams because in a matter of three weeks, four weeks, you can see the results. I just started doing music and I put in a couple of weeks in and I've gained results and I've been showing people that I can transition from funny to music and be serious about it. So, it's kinda like a little motivation for people just to start, three weeks in. You know the vibes.
I saw that you announced a new single, what is the story behind that single and why is it your favorite that you have recorded so far?
This one's my favorite song. It's called "Flaws." Basically, it's just about a female relationship that I have, that she points out all my flaws but she doesn't want to let me go. Still, she wants to keep me around for certain things. But the reason why I like it is just because it just flows, right? It's a nice, like a little car ride back home type of vibe. It's just chill, it has a nice tone in there. I don't know, it's just really chill. And that's what I like. It's like one of my favorite ones. That's the one that kept me like more chill, and calm. You know what I'm saying? Nothing too crazy.
