The Disney+ streaming service has been active for a little more than a year if you can believe it. Ever since its debut in November 2019, its subscriber base has grown exponentially; more than 86 million people have signed up, according to the studio. That’s a huge number of subscribers, one that has only been reinforced by a year when movie theaters shuttered and a great number of releases were delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
For the people who bought the Disney+ subscription, checked the platform's content, and wondered why was it so limited, here is something that could cheer you up:
On December 10th, during Disney Investor Day, Disney+ announced the development and release of 15 Disney live-action and Pixar series, 10 Star Wars series, 10 Marvel series, and much more for the next few years. Their goal is to offer new content to subscribers on a weekly basis, akin to Netflix, which constantly floods its users with new shows to watch.
Ranging from the return of beloved characters, the introduction of new interesting ones, to first-ever the live-action portrayals of many comic book characters, here are the announced titles (and their respective trailers or info links):

Writer's Pick for Most Anticipated Star Wars Show
This one, without a doubt, is the most anticipated Star Wars show for the last few years. After years of rumors of an Obi-Wan movie or show in the makings, it is finally official. We are getting a series portraying the life of one of the most important characters of the franchise, after the events of one of the most important episodes of the franchise. In addition to this (and unexpectedly), Hayden Christensen will also be returning as the most popular and recognized character of Star Wars, Darth Vader.
Other than the excitement of stars coming back, we are looking forward to the soundtracks that will be presented in these series. The Emmy-winning show "The Mandalorian" was further fueled by an amazing score composed by the talented Ludwig Göransson. Will he compose new scores for "Ahsoka" and "Rangers of The New Republic? Will see!
It is an amazing week to be a Marvel and Star Wars fan, and that is without including the plethora of shows Pixar and Disney Animation also have in their hands. Disney+ is clearly aiming to become the king of streaming, catering to as many fans as it can; and we cannot be more excited for this upcoming year!
