"Kiki, do you love me? are you riding?" Does anyone remember this iconic Drake track that hit the BillBoard charts in 2018? Well, the popular #Shiggychallenge helped bring all the attention to a creative industry talent that deserved the spotlight. She's been in the industry for years but is new to the spotlight, and is currently known for her RIAA certified gold single "Lil Bebe." This week's artist spotlight is about Dani Leigh. The 24-year-old "Lil Bebe" artist from Florida has hit the ground running. She got her foot in the door as a child dancing, and in her teen years she directed the "Breakfast Can Wait" video for the legendary Prince. After his passing, she kept dancing and in 2017 recorded her first album "Summer with Friends." She kept pushing herself creatively and is now signed to DefJam.

When Dani choreographed a 50 second routine to Drake's infamous track she received over ten million views. She has been a background dancer for notable names such as J.Cole, but those ten million views shed a bright light on her career path as an artist. If you remember the VMA winning track "Dinero" by Jennifer Lopez featuring Cardi B and DJ Khaled, well, this girl helped write it. It was originally for her but it wasn't her style, then two years later in 2018 the Latina legend Jennifer Lopez picked up the track. This was all part of her plan, all of these experiences and her life until now influenced the creation of her second album "The Plan."

Dani Leigh has just finished up headlining her first tour entitled the "Be Yourself Tour." She was in the running for the 2019 XXL Freshman of the year and is currently working on new projects. She will also be preforming at Rollong Loud in Miami. The industry is excited to work with this creative and bubbly artist, and she currently dreams of working with Bryson Tiller, 6Lack, and Drake. The way Dani has hit the industry headstrong I see those collaborations coming in the near future.
