Below are three ways Travis Scott has capitalized on knowing his target market.

1. The Travis Scott Meal at McDonald’s

For only $6, fans get to eat like the chart-topping ‘SICKO MODE’ rapper. Travis Scott and his team utilized one of the most relatable aspects with his target market: fast-food cheeseburgers. This not only benefited Travis Scott, it also benefited McDonald’s because they did not have to order anything different or add anything to the menu. This benefited both parties and opened many opportunities for the music industry and the fast-food industry. This deal also branched out of Travis Scott’s target market and expanded into the general public; a genius approach to marketing.

2. Astroworld Heads

It’s hard to ignore big promotional inflatables, especially when they look like one of the most popular artists of the year. The gold inflatable Astroworld heads paid homage to Scott’s Astroworld album without fans even knowing about it. They were scattered across the country which allowed for organic marketing for the album. Travis Scott’s target market typically jumps on opportunities to support him on social media, so it was easy for them to fall into this promotional rabbit hole.

3. Fortnite

Video games are quite popular, especially for Travis Scott’s target market. Fortnite and Travis Scott have merged together to do impeccable things for the video game and music industry. Travis Scott’s concert on Fortnite was a huge success. It was visually appealing and featured many memorable Travis Scott icons like the flaming mic stand, rollercoasters, and the Astroworld head. On top of the concert, Fortnite is releasing a Travis Scott skin soon, which will allow for an even greater fan connection.
